The sound of the powerful engine as it roared across the open roads of the desolate Canadian highway was one that seemed fitting for this landscape. Barren the sense that their were few Humans around to destroy the natural beauty of such a place with their petty desires for new cities and constant need to expand. No, Alex was quite pleased that this place had remained so pure for so long, and it was all the better that this 'school' was to be located in this neck of the woods. The Scotsmen had already decided long ago that if this place was to be located in some large city filled with arrogant kids on power-trips from their mutations he would be gone without a second thought. He wasn't out to join some Super Club of tomorrow's Hero's, nor was he out to get into a contest over who was strongest. Alex just wanted to know what the hell he was and how to control it. Pushing such thoughts out of his mind the man gripped the throttle and pushed the bike faster.

Swaying his body, the biker followed the turns and swerves of the road for another hour or so. The longer it took the more and more pleased he became; the idea of being in the middle of no where was one that he could get on board with. Then he finally saw it. Cresting a final hill, Alexander slowed the bike and finally stopped it all together. Flicking his foot out the kickstand seemed to react instantly as it's Master stood and dismounted. Stretching his back Alexander walked a ways down the road and peered out towards the castle. It was nestled neatly between a forest, a rather large lake and finally flanked by the mountains. Pulling his sunglasses from his face, because we all know Alex isn't the kind of guy to where a helmet when he is riding, the Scotsmen couldn't help but let out a whistle. "Not to bad for a handful of freaks living out in the woods..." Smiling to himself he simply shook his head.

Reaching into the pocket of his jacket, the man produced of pack of cigarettes of a simple lighter. As the flame burst to life and the toxic smoke of the cigarette rushed down his throat to fill his lungs, he couldn't help but let the sensation engulf him. If these things were to kill him then so be it, Alex would smoke in his damn sleep if only he could. Crossing his arms over his chest, leaving the cigarette dangling from his lips, he continued to stare out towards the school. He couldn't help but wonder where the hell this place had come from. With it's location and the sheer magnitude of it's splendor and beauty it seemed like it belonged more in a fairy tale then it did settled in the Canadian Outback. So just were the hell had it come from? Raising a hand he remove the cigarette, flicking the ash aside without even thinking so and exhaling. Surely they hadn't bought it, the whole point of being out here was to be unnoticed and that meant killing the precious owner. So where had it come from...?

Dropping the cigarette to the ground the man ground it out with the toe of his riding boot before walking back towards his bike. Placing his sunglasses back on he brought the machine roaring back to life. Choking the throttle a few times he took off like a bat out of hell down the road. There was only one way to get those hard to find answers in life, and that was the go at the problem head on. Hurdling down the road, the Scotsmen followed the many bends up the winding road, a sure sign he was following a mountain road which he already knew led to the castle from his scouting only moments before. Following these very paths for only a few more moments he traveled through the open gates of the massive estate. Slowing his bike he looked around and saw no one, though he wasn't surprised. It was a crisp and early autumn morning, the air cold and fog blanketed the grounds. The headlight of his bike only barely guided him to the bend of the castle which was were he assumed his vehicle went. So it was here he cut the engine and stepped from the bike, starring up at the castle from up close. Whoever owned this place meant business.

However, as he stood before the massive castle he found himself wondering how one went about announcing he was here. Unless they had an equally large doorbell to go with this place he was at a loss. He didn't dare simply roam their corridors out of fear for being mistaken as a trespasser or a Human who wished to kill one of them. So instead he simply leaned against his bike lighting up yet another of the cancerous cigarettes. You see, Alexander didn't have a complete grip on his powers yet, but he knew when he wanted something bad enough things tended to happen in his favor, which had gotten him out of trouble more then once. So as he lounged there waiting he knew sooner or later someone would show up, feeling drawn by a force they could not explain. Alex was not yet strong enough to force them to come to him, but his presence would be enough to entice the curiosity of another. And that was all it took. No, he wouldn't go unnoticed for long.

Though he wasn't sure if that was good or bad yet.

"Hey!" came a feminine-sounding voice from the far left of Alexander. In that spot stood a tall-ish, almost unbearably skinny male with red highlighted hair. His skin was pale for an asian, which clashed with the tight black babydoll shirt he was wearing. He was wearing about three different neon-colored belts, which matched his bracelets and his necklaces. These neon accessories were some of Edd's favorite accessories. Meanwhile, throwing all caution out the window, to use a saying, Edd stepped closer to the male, his black fishnet, fingerless, gloves scraping against each other slightly. His arms were crossed over a book, to be specific it was Jane Eyre, a book that he had always had interest in.

In the slightly chilly morning air, Edd's bottom half was covered by a skirt, bright pink and black striped tights, and knee-length goth boots. Underneath the skirt there were skin-tight black shorts, keeping anything that shouldn't be seen from being seen. "Anything you're looking for, sir?" Edd said naively, his pink eyeshadow and bright pink lipstick becoming evident as he came closer. He was curious as to what this strange male was doing at the school. Edd gave a smile, "I'll probably be able to find who you are looking for, even though I've only been here a couple of days myself." At that small confession at the end, he lifted one of his skinny arms to scratch the back of his black and red head.

Edd gave a small shudder as a cool breeze touched his arms, as he was not used to such cold temperatures yet. He didn't give any verbal complaints, though, just looked at Alex with a curious eye.

Taking another long drag off the smoldering cigarette the man heard the sudden shrieking of something. The sound was high pitched and sounded like that of an over-excited woman. Great. Turning his head lightly he looked out over the courtyard towards the frame moving towards him. Whoever it was they were younger then he, and that could only leave Alexander to assume they were a student of this place. Dropping the cigarette to the ground the Scotsmen pushed himself off the bike and stood up alittle straighter, he wasn't one for manners and other pointless rituals, but at a place like this when he had absolutely no idea what was going on in any sense of the world, he felt it was probably for the best to be on good behavio. Well, good by his standards atleast. Afterall, you couldn't expect Savage to suddenly become a perfect Angel.

As he watched the form move closer and closer to him, Alexander couldn't help but let that thin smile of his spread across his lips. It seemed like his earlier assesment of something was quite fitting of a discription for the boy that was to be his Greeter this fine morning. Well Alex had never been one to judge a book by its cover, he knew too much of the World and had seen too much of the destruction it was to be capable of to allow his mind to fall into such pathetic and shallow disarray. So instead the Scotsmen simply nodded his head lightly, eyed the book that the boy clung to so tightly, and spoke in words that were heavily laced by the accent of his homeland.

"Aye lad, I am af'er somethin' 'ere." Jutting a single finger towards the massive castle that stood before them both, a silent and powerful showing of power and wealth, he spoke yet again. "I need to fin' the boss o' this place. Gotta have a wor' with 'em." Smiling broadly again he wondered if the boy got any of that. Alexander was fully aware that when he let his accent rage true and powerful that it was hard for most to understand, though that simply made it all the more fun for the man. And if this boy didn't get what he was saying? Oh well, they both would come across bigger problems in their life then to let something as small as this get in their way. Grinning again the Scotsmen leaned back against the motorcycle and sighed. He couldn't help but wonder just who it was he would be meeting here, and secretly he found himself praying they would get along. He needed answers, and being a dick wasn't always the best way to get them.

"Your looking for the headmistress?" Edd replied, converting the word "boss" into "headmistress" so that he wouldn't get confused. He originally had had a bit of trouble translating what the guy was saying, but was able to catch onto the idea that he was looking for the person who ran the school. Tilting his head to the side, Edd thought for a second about where she could be. His head suddenly straightened, and the male said in a cheery way, "I think I know where she is, follow me please!" In a beat, he turned around and started to walk towards the building that he called "The Castle".

Edd was exactly sure where the headmistress was, but he generally assumed her to be in the building. If she wasn't in there, then the guest could probably just wait for her inside. He took a pack or cigarettes out of one of his skirt's sewn-on patches, as well as a lighter. Edd stuck one in his mouth and lit it, feeling the toxic gases being breathed into his lungs. "'ey, you want one?" Edd asked, stopping for a second and looking back at Alex. He was glad that he wasn't wearing his black lipstick today because it would have most likely have rubbed off on the butt of the cigarette that was on his mouth.

He didn't notice the temperature changing at all, his mind too involved in who this stranger possibly was and his own thoughts on cigarettes. Edd couldn't stop smoking, and he really didn't want to- really. 'If it killed him early in life, then so be it' was his attitude towards the matter.

Damon had been sitting against a tree, his intense blue eyes looking over the grounds. The boy was so pallid it looked as if he had simply never seen the light of day. The raven hair fell so gently into his face as he took in the other two men. Even as Damon rose to his feet it didn't really make a drastic difference seeing as the tiny framed boy wasn't very tall at all.

The jeans that adorned the child's malnourished body were tight and forming. He was shivering because he really was a skinny little thing. His torso was dressed in a a tight fitting shirt that read simply 'pet' in bright pink. The shirt had been from Rex of course. The small boy let his eyes look over the two, they were both bigger then him but one was much bigger. That wasn't saying much though, Damon was very lithe.

The boy bit his lip, he recognized Edd from the other day. He was nice to him and the raven haired child did not want to be alone anymore. He hurried over, though as he walked he regretted it a little, what if they were busy. The other man looked new, though Damon really didn't know what that meant. Why would someone come here? He was confused. He was still trying to find a way home before he got punished.

Damon made sure that when he approached them he showed signs of submission so he would not get hurt. The child hurried over to Edd immediately and peered at the other male, "hello," he spoke kindly. The boy had been very sheltered so he wasn't too sure of how to behave. His slender hands gently grasped Edd's arm. He made sure to do so lightly in case he didn't want him to do so.

And Rachel thought she would have a chance to sleep in this morning. Long before she heard it, she got such an aggravating sense that she ought to get up – just to be prepared for anything to come. She was just pulling on her jeans under a baggy t-shirt she had worn to bed, when it came. The distant rumbling of a motorcycle, headed for the only place one could find at the end of their road. She was only still for a moment, staring at the wall as though she could see through it and discover the intrusion. But she was not Iris, and so she hastened to make herself presentable. Though she did nothing to her face, she did make sure her hair wasn’t such a mess, by pulling it back and up in a clip. Why wasn’t she just going out there? She never felt so compelled to look decent. Yes, she generally did, but when in a hurry, she should have run out in her bunny slippers, as they say. She didn’t actually own bunny slippers.

The roar had long ceased to echo down the corridors, by the time Rachel passed through them briskly in hot pursuit of the disruption of the early day. She suddenly felt rather perturbed. Not one morning? She had yet to be able to sleep in an hour. She should have left this to her colleague. Surely she would have woken with the same sense to rise. Iris was usually the type to pull herself together much quicker than Rachel, dating back to when they had been roommates in college. If they had been roommates now, she would have just ignored whatever was going on outside. But she was not entirely sure that Iris was dealing with the situation, so she felt an overwhelming sense of obligation to proceed out the large oak doors.

The sight her eyes fell on would have been comical in any other situation. Two very feminine creatures, over dominated by such a masculine figure leaning against a motorcycle. The combination of the two was so very unlikely. Though she treated the two familiars the same as she did everyone else, she had to cringe at the initial image they were giving the institution. They had to be the strangest of the entire lot, and both of them had gotten to this guy first. Wait… why did she care what he thought? She quickened her pace, with a sense of determination. She could just tell by the looks of him that he was going to be difficult to deal with. He looked… dangerous. Whether that be good or bad.

Clearing her throat to make her presence known, she stopped no further than two feet away from the fellow, staring up into his eyes. She should have paused a little further back, now that she found how much taller he was than her. Looking at Edd and Damon, she treated them with unusual scrutiny. Without missing a beat, she yanked the cigarette out of Edd’s mouth, “You shouldn’t do that, it’s bad for you,” almost immediately her attention turned to the shirt Damon wore. “And for heaven’s sake, wear the normal clothes provided for you.” She took off her own zip-up, unisex jacket she had pulled on, and draped it over his shoulders. Usually she did not monitor the behaviour or attire of the people there, it wasn’t what she was really there for, but she felt the necessity to make a strong first impression on this intruder guest. She turned back to him curtly, practically demanding, “What is your name?”

Cocking a single brow as he watched the bow slide the cigarette between his brightly colored lips, Alexander couldn't help but allow himself the smallest of laughs before shaking his head. "Cute 'ow kids s'ill smoke, eve' in a place like this." Alex knew it had always been big for High-schoolers to smoke, whether it was to make them look mean and tough, or to make them look like they cared nothing for society and would do what they wanted; whatever the reason they always seemed foolish in the end. After all, Alexander knew he smoked at this point simply because he was addicted and it had become a habit, a natural way of controlling stress and fear. Without those little cancerous sticks he wouldn't be half the fearless jackass he was now, then again without those things he might have been very different in general. Oh well, who has time to ponder the what ifs in life anymore?

Then he saw a second, equally oddly dressed child approach him. Crossing his arms over his chest, the Scotsmen turned his head to the side as he studied the pair of them. "Qui'e the d'ess code ya got 'ere." Smiling lightly he couldn't help but let his eyes drift to the smaller of the duo, the one who seemed scared to even look upon Alex. Now the Scotsmen knew he wasn't the prettiest guy around, and sure he was aware that he was abit rough around the edges, but come on! Full blown fear. That was just low. Taking a step towards Damon the man let his gaze become hard simply to scare him. Those green eyes of his seemed to blaze for the briefest of moments before Alex softened them and let out a loud laugh. Reaching into his pocket he produced the keys to his prized bike, and throwing them to Damon, spun around walking towards the Castle. "Ta'e care o' that fo' me. No' a sin'le mark on 'er, or it's your 'ead." Laughing over his shoulder he left the boy to figure out if the Scotsmen was joking or not.

Then as he approached the large Oak Doors before him, they suddenly and from them emerged a hurried looking woman. She came towards the three of them with a sense of determination and power that some could have found almost over-powering, Alex just found it amusing. Narrowing his eyes he watched as she suddenly jumped down the throats of his two entertainers so to speak, verbally assaulting them quicker then Alex could have assumed she would have wanted. Grinning he watched the cigarette being torn from the mouth of Pinky and the jacket thrown over Slave Boy. Interesting. Cocking a single brow he watched it closer, the way they were suddenly cared for. Was she trying to impress him with the facade of a protective and caring Headmistress, or was she worried about what he would think of such an audience? Locking away such thoughts for later the man simply waited for his turn to be under fire, and quite suddenly it came. Quite demanding in nature, as well.

'Who? Lit'le ol' me? Why I'm jus' a frien'ly face lookin' for somewhere safer 'n the res' to call 'ome." Shrugging his shoulders he starred back into the eyes of the woman who barked such orders from him. It wasn't in a form of challenging her authority, nor was it a warning not to mess with him; he was simply showing her he wasn't another lost child in need of guidance. He knew it was safer in numbers then alone in a world like this, so he wanted protection here. It was a mutual deal, if they protected him then he would fight bloody hard to do the same right back. Sure, his powers were rather limited to serving his own selfish needs, but you try taking a punch from the Scotsmen when he was angry, and if that failed he was a helluva shot. Funny the things you pick up when you're a criminal. "T'at okay wit' you, Boss? Or shoul' I jus' kee' on ridin'?" His question was simple, his tone level.

Did she want him here or not? The choice was hers.

Edd stopped when he heard the sound of someone coming towards him. He hadn't decided to stop, but his body wouldn't move. Edd wanted to move, to just move and turn this guy over to the headmistress so that he could find Damon. He was curious about the little boy who seemingly had the same spark of femininity that Edd had. Edd willed his body to move until he felt Damon's light fingers on his arm and heard him say hello. Suddenly, Edd wasn't too fond of moving anything except for his head, which he turned to face the other boy. "Hiya Damon!" Edd greeted cheerfully, not minding at all that the boy had grasped his arm. In the homosexual's mind, he thought that the outfit really did complement Damon. Edd did wish that the boy would cover up the shirt's meaning though, and gain a little bit of a weight. It was not good to be malnourished, Edd knew quite well.

He watched as the man threw the keys at Damon, asking him to take care of his bike. "'ey, want me to do it?" Edd asked Damon with a smile, a smile that hopefully would convey that he wanted to help him out at least. He heard the sound of doors opening, but didn't pay attention to it, focusing his mind a bit too much. With a grin, Edd patted Damon on the head, which was not an usual gesture between the two due to the lunchroom meeting that they had. He didn't care if other people thought that it was weird, he didn't give that thought a chance to pop in his head, actually.

It was only when Edd felt the cigarette he'd been smoking pulled from his lips that he snapped back, completely, into the real world. His lips formed a silent beginning of a protest, but he was able to close his mouth and not say anything. He watched as the woman put the jacket on Damon's shoulders, kind of glad that it was harder now to see the words on the shirt. The hand that had been petting the other boy's head fell now to Edd's side as Edd listened into what the other man was saying. He made no move to remove Damon's hands from his arm, quite content with just leaving it there, actually.

[XP you'd get these out of me a lot faster if your posts weren't so long. and sorry damon, i felt bad because this is Alex's only thread.]

Was Rachel being overly controlling and out of line? Of course she was. She knew it. She and Iris had explicitly decided when they agreed to come here and run a school, as it were, that it would not be one instilled with a bunch of rules and regulations. They were a community, not a prison or boarding school. Having decided that they were not going to put their own beliefs and standards on others, and usually abiding by that, it was probably a bit of a surprise to the familiar fellows to be approached as such. Edd could have been smoking in the halls for all she usually cared. Of course, out of common courtesy to others, most smoked outside, but there were definitely some who did not abide by this. The new gentlemen, what a laugh, seemed as though he would be another one of those. Every bit of him made Rachel want to send him on his way.

But she felt compelled to offer him refuge. That was what this place was about. And mercy knew that there were a number of people there that did not exactly make her life easier. Each one carried their baggage, some more than others, and it was soon forming up to be much like normal society, for all its good and bad parts. They just had one added little bonus to deal with. And if this guy truly had some unusual attribute, then of course they would share their asylum. Though this guy really seemed like the type who would have gotten just as much ridicule as before, and subsequently, hardly seemed the type who felt compelled to be somewhere “safe”. Surely he could hold his own? His demeanor did not seem to need anyone or anything. So why seek them out? Perhaps his abilities were getting the best of him, and were out of control. Rachel knew what that was like, more than she’d prefer to admit to.

Still, he showed an enormous amount of physical and mental constraint. He seemed so sure of himself, so confident. Well… he was hardly a child, after all. Rachel fought her easing attitude. There was still a sense that she should be on her guard. It could be dangerous getting comfortable with a guy like him. Dangerous. That was it. He was dangerous. Perhaps he wasn’t there to hurt any of them, but she knew, just the same, that that word wrapped him up. The unsettling thing was, she wasn’t worried for the rest. It did not even cross her mind that he would hurt the likes of Edd or Damon. Well, Damon she did not really have to worry about anyway. No. She was worried for herself. That deep Scottish growl penetrated her to the very core.

Rachel could only stare at him for a moment, truly debating whether she wanted him there or not. She knew his personality. He belonged to no one, and no belonged to him. He’d never fit in, not even with a band of misfits. But that wasn’t her worry, now was it? She doubted he’d ever have a problem leaving, whether told to, or on his own account. So no matter her decision, she knew it would never be hard to get him to leave. So the decision she had to make was if she was willing to risk a chance of not wanting to see him to go. Now was would be the easiest time to tell him to move on. But inevitably, that wasn’t her choice. He had sought them out, but if they turned him away, they would eventually have to seek him out. Trying to harden herself against him, she decided he wasn’t worth that trouble.

“Well, that’s debatable.” She said vaguely, before turning to Edd with a quizzical expression on her face. “Edd… do you know how to ride a motorcycle?” In all honesty, she’d be surprised if he could. Every bit of her conveyed this, from her tone, to her expression. Though she would not discriminate him in her treatment, the inevitable discrimination in her mind was made because of his personality and dress. He was so feminine, that she wondered if she wouldn’t have dealt with taking the motorcycle around to the garage easier. Either way, she was fairly sure that her question of Edd would convey that she was letting him stay.

Damon jumped violently but the timid boy caught the keys. The man was aggressive at least in Damon's eyes and he obviously did not like him so in defense Damon's gaze fell to the ground. His grip tightened a little on Edd and he pressed his head to his arm, hiding his face. Damon feared everyone. Especially strangers... strangers who looked like they could hurt him. The boy stifled a whimper while clinging to Edd.

Damon jumped yet again at the sound of Rachael's voice. He looked up and felt her jacket slide around his shoulders. He wondered what was inappropriate about the shirt. It actually covered up his body which made Damon very happy. Rachael didn't seem to happy so he clung to Edd gently.

The abused child handed the keys to Edd, "please," he whispered. His eyes fell on the motorcycle and he spoke, "I don't even know what that is." His voice was kind but confused. He had never seen a motorcycle before but it was big and he was almost frightened by it.

Instead, Damon wrapped his arms around Edd and buried his head in him once more as an attempt to hide himself. He felt better being closer to him. He just didn't want to bother Edd, he hoped he wasn't. The other man talked different, Damon had never heard anyone with an accent before but he thought it was cool.

He had a feeling the man didn't like him and he murmured a soft apology.
